GAME NOTES: CANADA BLANKED TO CLOSE OUT SLEDGE DEVELOPMENT SERIES JASON LA ROSE MONTREAL, Que. – Canada’s National Sledge Development Team wrapped up its three-game series Sunday at the Défi sportif AlterGo, dropping a 3-0 decision to the United States. Adam Kingsmill (Smithers, B.C.) got his second start in the Canadian goal and made nine saves, keeping it a one-goal game through 30 minutes before the Americans added a pair of insurance goals in the third period. The U.S. struck first just past the midway mark of the first period when Colin Gooley beat Kingsmill, the lone goal in an opening frame that included just four shots on goal. That would be it for offence in the first two periods, with Kingsmill and U.S. counterpart Kyle Huckaby keeping both offences at bay. A penalty late in the second period led to a power-play goal early in the third; Kyle Zych set up David Eustace just 37 seconds into the final frame to make it 2-0. Zych finished the scoring himself with just over two minutes to go, providing the final margin of victory. The Défi sportif AlterGo is an international event that brings together elite and up-coming athletes with all types of disabilities. Each year, more than 5,000 athletes from 20 countries compete during seven days in Montreal and on the South-Shore. 		Visiting Team: Canada
